Ngan (Kim) Harwood is the Senior Podiatrist and Director of The Footcare Clinic. She opened the clinic in 1998 and is grateful for the opportunity to provide a professional Podiatry service to the local community for more than 20 years. Her time in Keysborough has given her many close friendships and professional relationships.
Kim graduated from La Trobe University in 1996 and has completed further studies in:
– Running Retraining and Rehabilitation
– Dry needling
– Shockwave Therapy
– Foot mobilisation and manipulation
– Tool Assisted Massage
She’s passionate about treating lower limb and running injuries. Her strategy for foot care is to look at the problem and treatment from many possible angles, and choose the best approach for the best possible outcome. Outside of the clinic she enjoys setting big running challenges and loves trail running immensely. She has completed more than 16 marathons and numerous ultramarathons. In 2018, she completed the big 6 World Major Marathons (Tokyo, Berlin, New York, Chicago, Boston and London). In 2020, her boundless energy got her over the line at the Tarawera Ultramarathon, a 165 km trail race in New Zealand. You can read more about her experience of that race at this link.
Kim has reduced her consulting hours considerably, focusing mainly on running retraining and rehabilitation for clients who have lower limb and running injuries. Her focus is to work closely with the team of practitioners at The Footcare Clinic to ensure the highest level of care for every client who comes through the door.
